If you want to watch video tapes from various areas of the world you'll need a multisystem VCR to accommodate all the different types of video tape used. The Confusing Situation
North America uses NTSC, Europe uses PAL and SECAM, South America uses PAL-M, PAL-N, PAL and NTSC. To add to the confusion, almost every area of the world has a mixture of video standards.
